On 22nd July 2019, the victim was cycling along Third Avenue, Harlow, having left the town centre, when he came across a group of men having an argument with another man.

After the man ran away, Liam Lincoln turned his attention to the victim and, in an unprovoked attack, Lincoln stabbed the victim in the stomach. Lincoln, and the two men he was with, ran off, leaving the victim bleeding.

The victim, in his 20s, needed emergency surgery for the life-threatening injury.

23 year old Lincoln presented himself at Harlow Police Station on 24 July 2019 and pleaded guilty to GBH with intent at St. Albans Crown Court in February.

On Friday (22nd April) he was sentenced for the attack, as well as for a number of robberies, and received a total of seven years and nine months in prison.
