Investigations launched after hotel fire in Colchester

Emergency services are investigating a fire at a hotel in Colchester in the early hours of this morning.
A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after reportedly falling from a height.
Police say they were called to the incident on High Street in the early hours of this morning.
Ambulance and fire crews were also on the scene and a man was given medical attention before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police say an investigation will now take place to establish the cause of the fire.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent and assaulting an emergency worker.
The road remains closed at the moment so investigations can be carried out.
