Appeal following double fatal collision in Southminster

An appeal for information and witnesses has been launched following a double fatal collision in Southminster.

Police were called to the scene of the accident involving two vehicles in Scotts hill at 12:45 on Wednesday 7 December.

The road was closed in both directions whilst emergency services dealt with the collision.

Ohe driver of one vehicle (a man in his 70’s) and the passenger of the other (a woman in her 70's) were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a man also in his 70's, remains in a serious condition at hospital.
