Police are appealing to the public to help identify four people following a serious assault which happened outside Jennings Betting Shop in Clacton in July this year.

Officers on patrol found a boy lying unconscious in the middle of Pier Avenue in the early hours of 31 July; Early enquiries indicated that the boy had been seriously assaulted after being approached by a group of young people.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries which have resulted in permanent blindness in one eye.

Investigations into the assault are still active and police would like to speak with four young people in connection where the incident occurred.
