Fourth charged over Michelle Cooper's murder in Jaywick

She died from a head injury in April

A fourth person has been charged in connection with a woman's murder in Jaywick.

Michelle Cooper died after getting a head injury on Beach Way on the 23rd of April.

Now 23-year-old Charlie Whittaker, of Bermerton Gardens in Kirby Cross, has been charged with murder and two counts of ABH.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 4 June).

Three people have already been charged with murder.

Bobby Nethercott, 31, of Park Square East, Jaywick is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court today (Friday 4 June) and has also been charged with two counts of ABH.

Jordan Stanley, 20, of Masterman Road, London E6 and 20 year-old Demi Cole, of Beach Way, Jaywick are next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 5 July.

In addition to murder, Stanley has also been charged with two counts of ABH and Cole with criminal damage and ABH.
