Four people arrested after two men sustain stab wounds in Saffron Walden
Police attended the scene in Little Walden Road with armed response officers
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, after police were called to a serious assault in Saffron Walden.
Officers from Essex Police were called to reports of a man being assaulted in Little Walden Road at around 7:30pm last night (May 3).
They were joined by armed response officers and NPAS, where they found a second victim, who were both taken to hospital after sustaining stab wounds.
One of the men has now been discharged, the other remains in hospital in what police have described as a condition that is not believed to be life threatening.
Essex Police will remain in the area today as investigations continue, after the arrests of the four men.
Chief Inspector Colin Cox said “Our officers acted quickly, arresting four men in connection with this incident.
“Enquiries are in the early stages but we do believe that this was an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the wider public.”
