Firefighters tackle large fire at Grays industrial unit

Firefighters say a large fire at an industrial unit is now out.

Work is ongoing to make the scene at Towers Road safe, with fire crews now having to dismantle the building.

Flames broke out at approximately 12:30pm today, with crews from Grays, Basildon and Orsett all called to the scene.

Crews had to use an aerial ladder platform to tackle the flames, which had spread across an area of around 35 metres.
