Drycleaners suffers extensive damage after fire in Colchester

A drycleaners in Stanway has been left with extreme damage after an accidental fire last night.

Firefighters from Colchester and Grays were called to Blackberry Road at 10:49pm, where the drycleaners had gone up in flames.

The fire thankfully didn't spread to any of the businesses or flats in the terrace, but there is significant damage to the drycleaners building and contents, as well as some smoke affecting the flat above.

The cause has been ruled as accidental as the internal gas meter ignited.
