Man dies after crash in Childerditch
Police have arrested someone in connection with it
A man has died after a crash in Childerditch yesterday morning.
Police say an 88 year-old man from Hornchurch has died despite the best efforts of paramedics.
His family have been told.
Officers were called to the A127 near Brentwood just after 10.30am - the road remained closed for most of the day.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
He has been released under investigation.
Anyone who saw the crash is being asked to come forward.
