Family pay tribute to woman killed in Takeley crash

The family of an 84 year old woman killed in a crash in Takeley last month have paid tribute.

Phyllis Willis, who was from Rayne near Braintree, was involved in a two vehicle collision on Parsonage Road at around 3:20pm on September 26.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her have family paid tribute, writing: “Our family is devastated by the sudden loss of our mother."

"She was a mother to five boys and grandmother to many grand / great grandchildren.

"We would appreciate privacy during this time whilst we grieve”.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the crash, as well as for any dashcam footage captured at the scene.

A 37-year-old man from Dagenham has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He's since been released on bail.
