Police have brought in a dispersal order and extra staff in central Chelmsford, in a bid to tackle a spate of antisocial behaviour.

The order has been in place since 2:50pm today (February 16) and will be in force for the next 48 hours.

The area covered by the order includes the whole of the centre of the city. It means officers have additional powers to move people on if thye're deemed to be causing issues.

Breaching an order to leave the area is a criminal offence.

There are going to be extra patrols in the city over the next two days.
