Extra coronavirus testing available in Essex
London Southend Airport is now offering more Covid-19 tests in response to rising cases
London Southend Airport has extended its mobile testing facility to run seven days a week following a rise in the number of infections.
While there was a drop in cases to 115.8 per 100,000 by Sunday 29th November, the rate has risen to 176.4 as of Wednesday 9th December.
Anyone with symptoms, however mild they may be, is urged to book a test immediately and self-isolate.
Glyn Jones, CEO of London Southend Airport, said: "We are pleased to continue our commitment to providing the testing site at London Southend Airport, with Christmas on the horizon it is important to get tested if you have any symptoms.
"Government Christmas bubbles can only be effective if care is taken to prevent the virus spreading."
The mobile facility involves drive-through bays to ensure social distancing can take place with minimal contact.
You can book a test on the Government's website.
