Colchester and Tendring to remain in tier two
The Health Secretary has announced areas of north east Essex will remain in tier two
Areas in the north east of the county will remain under tier two coronavirus restriction following a review this week.
Colchester and Tendring were among just a few local authority areas in the county to remain in tier two following an early review of the system this week.
Many parts of Essex, including neighbouring Chelmsford and Braintree, moved into tier three restrictions just after midnight on Wednesday 16th December.
What do the different tiers mean?
There are currently three different tiers of restrictions in England ranging from 'medium' to 'very high'.
