NHS nurses in part of Essex are receiving insoles as part of a campaign thanking those who have continue to work hard on their feet during Covid-19.

Foot health company, Enertor, has launched its Save Our Nation's Soles campaign and will be giving 500 insoles away for the next few months.

The first donations are being made to district NHS nurses in Witham, Braintree and Halstead today.

People across the country are being asked to nominate groups, which are comprised of more than 50 people, who have gone above and beyond throughout the ongoing pandemic.

Nick Beresford, CEO and co-founder of Enertor, said he wants to recognise unsung heroes, too:

"In hospitals obviously the nurses, the doctors and the frontline staff have done an amazing job. But there are also other unsung heroes like the porters, the cleaners, even office administration staff who have been pulled into all sorts of different duties.

"Whether they're on their feet as a nurse or they're a postman or in a factory, even just walking to work, there's damage that can be caused to your feet wearing hard shoes or just that long impact. We're all about protecting people."

You can nominate a chose group as part of the Save Our Nation's Soles campaign via the Enertor website.
