Search for missing man Ronnie Benjamin has been halted after the body of a man was found in Bentwood
The search for missing man Ronnie Benjamin has been halted after the body of a man was located at Brentwood on Sunday 11 February.
Although formal identification is yet to be carried out, Ronnie’s family have been informed of the development and are being supported by officers.
Ronnie, 18, was reported missing on Thursday 8 February.
A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
An Essex Police spokesperson said: "Ronnie’s family and loved ones have been updated and are aware of referral to the IOPC.
Our thoughts continue to be with Ronnie’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time."
