Essex man named in King's special honours list

Wing Commander William Richard Skeen from the Royal Air Force has been named on the King's special honours list.

Essex born Wing Commander William Richard Skeen from the Royal Air Force has been named on the King's special honours list.

He was part of the Air Crew who helped move Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.

The Royal Victorian Order is a medal for those who supported the royal family on the demise of Her later Majesty Queen Elizabeth second.

Amongst the lengthy list are the eight pallbearers who carried Queen Elizabeth's coffin during last year's funeral and other service staff .

The late monarch's closest advisor, Angela Kelly and other Royal Household members are also to be made members of the Royal Victorian Order.
