Essex man handed suspended jail sentence after class A drugs found in car

A man from Essex has been handed a suspended jail sentence after police found class A drugs in his car, at the Clacton air show- last year

Police pulled 41 year old Benjamin Hill - of Harold road - over because of his driving when they found a plastic tub of drugs and scales.

Following the search of connected properties, police recovered a total of 10 thousand pounds worth of drugs.

Altogether, the value of the drugs recovered from Hill’s car and the two properties totalled approximately £10,000.

Investigating officer PC Ryan Gilroy says:

“Drugs and drug dealers cause a great deal of harm and not only to those who use them.

"Drug dealers will prey on the vulnerable and slowly destroy families and the community. They are both associated with violence and misery.

“But, I hope Hill will take the chance he has been given to turn his life around.”
