Essex man charged in connection with collision

An Essex Man was charged today for connections to a serious collision where a man was injured.

Charlie Whittaker, 25 of Bemerton Gardens, Kirby Cross, appeared at Chelmsford's Magistrates Court today.

He faced the charges of intentionally driving a vehicle intending to cause the driver significant injury and causing grievous bodily harm with intent to another.

The incident the charges are related to allegedly occurred on the 29th of September 2022 on St John's Road, Clacton.

Whittaker also faces further charges including affray relating to an incident alleged to have happened in Jaywick on 10th July 2022.

Whittaker was remanded in custody. He will appear again in court, however, the date has not been set at the moment.
