Essex & Herts Air Ambulance say they need the public's support now "more than ever" during Air Ambulance Week 2020.

The charity make around 1,500 missions each year, with each of those coming at a cost of around £2,200 pounds. That adds up to an average of £3.3 million which the charity says comes almost entirely through donations.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the air ambulance has reported a significant drop in donations which they've put down to many of their bucket collections being cancelled.

To counter that, they've created a virtual bucket collection in the form of a just giving page.

The charity has a target of £30,000 to hit by the end of Air Ambulance Week on the 13th of September.
