Man left with fractured vertebrae after assault at Epping Forest nature reserve

A man has been left with fractured vertebrae after a serious assault at a nature reserve in Epping Forest.

A member of the public found the victim at the Linders Field Nature Reserve at around 9:30pm on Thursday night.

He was taken to hospital, where he was also treated for cuts and bruising to his head.

Police do not have a description of the alleged attackers and have issued a general appeal for witnesses or for anyone who was in the area to get in touch.

They're also looking for CCTV footage as part of their enquiries.
