A driver who left a teenager with life threatening injuries after a crash in South Essex - and then fled the scene - has been jailed.

19 year old Louisse Chism lost control of her car while she was driving along Creeksea Ferry Road in Canewdon in the early hours of the 3rd of April last year.

One of the passengers - a teenage girl - was thrown from the car and suffered multiple broken bones. Three other teenagers were hospitalised.

Chism, of Broomfield Road in Leigh on Sea - will spend two years behind bars and has been banned from driving for 5 years.
