Dispersal order put in place in Harlow this weekend
It's ahead of a planned car cruising event
Essex Police have put a dispersal order in place in Harlow this weekend, covering the whole of the town, ahead of a planned car cruising event.
Dispersal orders plan to stop the event before it begins and to tackle any anti-social behaviour that may come along with it, as well as preventing crime and disorder.
It is in place from 6pm on Saturday (September 23) and 6am on Sunday (September 24)/
Acting Inspector Matt Hughes said: “We use these orders in a considered and proportionate way, to make sure they are targeting anti-social behaviour and allowing people to go about their daily lives.
“We will not tolerate dangerous driving in any part of Harlow, and our officers will be out in the community on Saturday evening to make sure drivers are behaving safely and responsibly.”
