Dispersal order for Colchester

A dispersal order will be in place in Colchester town centre following anti-social behaviour, disorder and alcohol-related incidents in the same area last weekend (10-11 September).
It'll be running from 6pm this evening (17 September) until 6pm on Sunday (19 September).
Essex Police say the order has been put in place to prevent crime and disorder and prevent people living in the area being harassed, alarmed or distressed.
Officers will be patrolling the area and the order gives officers additional powers to move anyone believed to be behaving anti-socially from the area.
