Dartford Crossing shut due to 'serious collision'

There are severe delays in both directions at Dartford Crossing due to a serious collision involving a motorcycle.

The incident has closed the road within J1B (Princes Road Interchange, Dartford).

All emergency services including Kent Police and the Air Ambulance service are in attendance.

National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.

Due to the nature of the incident, the road is expected to be closed throughout the afternoon to allow for collision investigation works to take place.

There is approximately an hour and a half delay on the M25 clockwise approaching the crossing and 45 minutes on the anti-clockwise.
