The Chairman of Colchester United Robbie Cowling has issued an open letter to Primer Minister Boris Johnson after plans to let fans back into stadiums were paused.
"With this one decision you have not only threatened the livelihoods of the staff at Colchester United and the local businesses that rely on our club, and not only those staff and local businesses of every other football club in the EFL, but those of every club across every sport in the UK."
Central Government had aimed to allow fans to return to stadiums in limited numbers from the start of next month but a rise in COVID-19 cases stopped that.
The announcement left many clubs concerned they won't financially survive the pandemic.
