M25 in Essex closed after man was hit while standing on hard shoulder
The M25 was closed between junction 29 and junction 30 this morning.

UPDATE (13:10): Police have confirmed that the man who died after a serious crash that shut the M25 this morning was a pedestrian standing on the hard shoulder.
The M25 in Essex was been completely closed this morning between junction 29, the A127 and junction 30, the A130 after a fatal collision involving a lorry.
Emergency services were called to the section of the M25 at around 4am.
Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed the road while accident investigation work occured.
There was also congestion as a result from J29, A127 Southend Arterial Road to J30, the A13 near the Lakeside shopping centre.
Drivers heading into London were met with severe delays.
Metropolitan Police, Essex Police, ambulance services, and National Highways Traffic Officers attended the scene.
There was a diversion in operation as drivers are instructed to travel via the A127 Eastbound to the Halfway House Junction, the A128 Southbound towards Orsett, then the A13 Westbound to re-join the M25 at J30.
Traffic conditions returned to normal at around 12.45pm.
No arrests have been made, and Met Police have urged anyone with dash cam footage or information in relation to this crash to call 101 quoting CAD 1299/08SEP.
