High Woods Country Park has launched its exciting programme for autumn and winter activities for 2021.

The programme, run by Colchester Borough Council, includes a series of Ranger led family and children’s activities including fishing for beginners, bewitching brooms, Guy Fawkes bonfire and woodland wreath making.

There’s plenty for all ages with fungi foraging and seed gathering activities at High Woods Country Park and Wivenhoe Woods, alongside family self-led trails for Halloween and Christmas, and the Park’s traditional New Year’s Day walk.

Cllr Beverley Oxford, Colchester Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Communities, said:

“This year’s events programme is proving very popular, and these new autumn and winter activities offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy and explore our sites as we move through the seasons.”

The safety of visitors to the park is essential, so all activities will operate within Covid guidelines, ensuring they are safe and secure for all to enjoy.
