Colchester United's fixtures for next season released
The Us start their League Two season on the road to Northampton
Colchester United will start their League Two season on the road at Northampton Town.
The League Two fixtures list has been released today with the Us first home game to be against Carlisle United on August 6.
The campaign will be paused between late November and early December to allow time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Boxing Day sees Wayne Brown's side on the road to Kent, to take on Gillingham.
Elsewhere in the Carabao Cup Colchester will take on eastern rivals Ipswich Town in the first round.
In the Papa John's Trophy the Us are in Southern Group A, along with Charlton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Gillingham.
