Young Colchester United duo Harvey Sayer and Brad Ihionvien are heading out on loan to Maldon & Tiptree.
The duo have spent pre-season with the U23s side, but are now on the hunt for more regular first team football.
If the loan is approved by footballing authorities, both will be available for the first league game of the season against Tilbury on Saturday.
Speaking to the Colchester United website, Director of Football Tony Humes, said: "Brad and Harvey are two more of our talented youngsters that need more regular men's football to continue their development."
"Both will benefit from playing competitive football week in, week out, and we will of course keep an eye on their progress in the coming weeks and months whilst they're over there."
