Colchester thrash Sudbury in FA Cup first round

Colchester United thrashed Sudbury FA 4 nil in the first round of the FA Cup last night (Friday).

It is the team's first win in the league since the beat Charlton in 2016, which had led to an encounter with Tottenham.

At King's Marsh the team made 8 shots on target.

Goals came from Brendan Wiredu and Freddie Sears, in the 36th and 39th minutes. Sylvester Jasper added a third in the 72nd minute, and Shawn McCoulsky netted an injury-time fourth.
