Clacton police reopens after emergency repairs

Clacton police station has reopened after being closed off for emergency repairs after part of the building was damaged by the weather.

Essex Police says the front counter was damaged by the bad weather, but has now been reopened.

Officers continued to respond to calls during the temporary closure.

Heavy rain has been causing disruption across the East this morning, with Essex Fire urging drivers to take care on the roads.

There has been some reported disruption on trains and roads due to heavy rainfall.
