Clacton man jailed for 32 years for child sex offences
He abused three children over a period of three years
A Clacton man has been jailed for 32 years for the sexual assault of three children .
68 year old Graham Carson. of The Drive, was convicted of 18 different offences inclding mutliple counts of rape at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He will serve an initial 26 year sentence, with 6 years added on after the judge ruled him to be a 'dangerous offender'.
He attacked three victims between 2011 and 2014, telling one of them ‘wish you were 16’ while telling another it would be ‘their secret’.
He was arrested after one of the victims reported him to police in August 2020.
Investigating officer DC Reuben Brame, of Essex Police, said: “The three victims in this case have been through an unimaginable ordeal at the hands of Graham Carson and have demonstrated incredible strength in reporting what happened to them.
“The impact of Carson’s abuse cannot be overstated and those affected live with the memory of what’s happened to them every day.
“I am pleased our work has been able put him behind bars and while no sentence will ever undo his crimes, I hope it will help his victims move forward.”
