Clacton man charged with indecently assaulting two girls in the 1970s

A man from Clacton has been summonsed to court, in connection with allegations of indecently assaulting two underage girls in the 1970s.

Ian Vinnell, aged 83, of Albany Gardens West in Clacton, faces four counts of indecent assault.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 3 August.

Essex Police has said the investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact DC Hayley Green at Colchester Police Station online or by using the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm.
