Child taken to hospital after road collision in Hockley

It happened yesterday morning and police are looking for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Hockley yesterday morning (Tuesday 26 November).

Officers were called to reports of a collision between a child and a Nissan X-Trail car in Broadlands Road at just after 10am.

The child was taken to hospital, with an injury which is described as serious, but not life-threatening.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called just after 9.55am with reports of a collision between a car and a young girl on Broadlands Road in Hockley. An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. The girl was transported by road to The Royal London Hospital for treatment for a serious leg injury.”
