Four fire crews were called to put out a fire that spread across multiple caravans in Roydon on the 20th of December.

Harlow's fire crew was initially called to put out a shed fire, but on arrival the fire had spread to two caravans and several fence panels.

A lack of working hydrants in the area meant that crews had difficulties with the fire.

It quickly spread to additional caravans so supporting crews from Essex and Hertfordshire were called.

The fire took two hours to extinguish and left all the caravans involved either destroyed or damaged.

Watch Manager Brendan Cardy, Harlow Fire Station, said: "Crews worked tirelessly in challenging circumstances to bring the fire under control. I'd like to thank our colleagues from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service for their assistance with the water relay."

No injuries were reported.
