Broomfield doctors hoping to raise £30,000 by completing National Three Peaks Challenge
It’s to help buy another ultrasound scanner at Broomfield Hospital’s Emergency Department so more patients can be seen
A group of 14 doctors from Broomfield Hospital will climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 36 hours.
It is so they can raise money for the hospital’s emergency department so that they can afford a new ultrasound scanner.
With an additional scanner, more patients can be seen and more quickly too.
Dr Ajay Thomas, Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Broomfield Hospital, said, “the addition of another ultrasound scanner will greatly benefit both our staff and patients, and help us manage the increase in people arriving at our emergency department.”
The team have already raised £11,000.
“We are truly grateful for the community's support in helping us provide even better care,” said Dr Thomas.
