A brick has been thrown at a car driving on the A12 in Essex, with a man and his 6-year-old son inside.

They were travelling in a Citroen van northbound near Rivenhall End when it was thrown from a bridge at 4.25pm last Monday (25th January).

Sergeant Matthew Green said:

“The windscreen was smashed but thankfully the father and son were not hurt.

“Whoever did this was completely reckless as this could so easily have led to serious injuries or even worse.”
