A Book of Condolence has been opened in Southend for Sir David Amess.

The Mayor was the first to sign at the Civic Centre yesterday, closely followed by fellow councillors, members of the emergency services and the county's Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

Sir David Amess was stabbed to death as he met with constituents in Leigh-on-Sea on Friday (15 October) at the age of 69.

You can sign the book between 10am to 7pm in the Jubilee Room.
