Basildon train station closed following reports of rape
It follows reports a 14-year-old girl was raped at West Horndon train station early this morning.
A man has been arrested following reports a 14-year-old girl was raped at West Horndon train station early this morning (Monday).
Police were called shortly before 1am and the station was closed to allow forensic enquiries to take place.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and rape.
The station has now reopened and detectives continue to investigate what happened.
