Attempted murder investigation launched in Colchester
Three people were arrested and released on bail

Police were called to an address in Gantry Close, in the early hours of yesterday morning (1/5) following reports of a disturbance.
Officers found man had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
As enquiries continued, they found two other people, a man and a woman, had also suffered minor injuries during the incident.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, GBH, possession of cannabis and criminal damage.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of cannabis.
They have all been released on bail until May 27.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses and information about the event on Saturday 1st May at around 12.45am.
DI David Box, who is leading the investigation, said:
“We believe this to be a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the Colchester community.
“We also believe there may be other victims who have not yet come forward and we would encourage them to do so for their own welfare as they may require hospital treatment.
“I would like to reassure residents that there will be a visible police presence in the area throughout today and I would encourage anyone with information on this incident, specifically mobile phone footage of it, to come forward."
