Attempted murder investigation after man run over in Southend
A man is being questioned after a pedestrian was seriously injured on Sunday
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was hit by a car in Southend at the weekend.
The victim, in his 30s, suffered life threatening injuries in the collision on Rayleigh Road in Eastwood at approximately 1am on Sunday.
He remains in hospital.
A 31 year old man from Leigh remains in custody.
Police say the investigation is onoing. They're appealing for those with CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area at the time to get in touch.
