Essex Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a series of knifepoint robberies in Loughton on Tuesday (December 19).

Officers were firstly called on Tuesday afternoon, just before 4:52pm, after reports about a boy being robbed by a group in Chigwell Lane.

A group of five men approached him, threatening the victim whilst wearing balaclavas, and stole his designer coat and bag.

Reports were then filed of a group of men near The Broadway who had a knife with them, followed by twooter reports of victims being threatened with a knife and then asked to show their bags, however nothing was stolen in these incidents.

The victims were all left shaken and patrols are now being conducted in the area by officers as they continue to investigate.

Anyone with information or who might have seen anything is asked to get in touch.

Essex Police believe the incidents to be linked.
