Appeal after assault in Leigh-on-Sea
A man in his 20s had been found with stab wounds
Police are appealing for information following an assault in Leigh-on-Sea on Saturday 5 October.
They were called at 4.30pm to reports a man in his 20s had been found with stab wounds in Rayleigh Road.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment but fortunately his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
It was reported the victim had been seen to be chased by a group of four men who had got out of two vehicles, one of which is described as a red 4x4.
Police say people may see an increased visible presence in the area.
They believe this was a targeted attack and does not pose a risk to the wider public.
They are asking anyone with information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident to get in contact.
