Another person arrested in connection with Jaywick murder

Three people have already been charged following the death of Michelle Cooper

Another person has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Jaywick.

Michelle Cooper, from Clacton, was assaulted in Beach Way on 23 April.

She was treated in hospital for a head injury but died there two days later.

A 23 year-old man from Kirby Cross was arrested in Kent last night on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

Three people have already been charged with murder:

Bobby Nethercott, aged 31, of Park Square East, Jaywick, is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court tomorrow (4 June) and has also been charged with two counts of ABH.

Jordan Stanley, aged 20, of Masterman Road, London E6, and 20 year-old Demi Cole, of Beach Way, Jaywick, are next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 5 July.

Stanley has also been charged with two counts of ABH and Cole with criminal damage and ABH.
