Pair accused of Aldham man's murder in court

A teenage boy from Leicester and a man are both charged with Donald Ralph's murder

A man and a 16-year-old boy accused of murdering a pensioner in Essex are due in court today.

Donald Ralph, who was 83, was found dead at his home in Aldham in late December.

Today, 28-year-old Leighton Snook, of no fixed address, and the teenager are due at Ipswich Crown Court.

Mr. Ralph was found dead at his home in Halstead Road on December 29 2020. A post-mortem examination found he had been strangled.

Leighton Snook and the boy from Leicester, who cannot be named for legal reasons, face a charge of murder.

Snook is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Both are charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

A provisional trial date is set for 1st June.
