A12 closed after serious crash near Chelmsford

A stretch of the A12 has been closed this morning, after a serious crash overnight.
It happened at around 2am near to Junction 16 for Galleywood, Chelmsford.
The southbound carriageway has been closed and Essex Police expect it to be shut for rush hour.
UPDATE: A woman has died following this crash.
