19-year-old arrested in connection to Colchester rape investigation
Police are continuing to appeal for information
Essex Police have arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of rape after reports of a serious sexual assault over the weekend.
On Saturday (July 15) a woman reported she had been raped in the Abbey Fields area of Colchester, just after 4:30am.
On the same day, Officers arrested the 19-year-old, who has been bailed to return on September 25th.
Police are still appealing for witnesses, information and footage that may help their investigation.
