The Vicar of Dibley stamps are now available to buy
There are 12 different stamps available
Last week, The Royal Mail delighted fans of the popular 90s TV comedy The Vicar of Dibley, by announcing a new set of stamps celebrating the show that starred Dawn French. And now the stamps are available to buy.
The TV show was a hit back in the 90s when it ran for three series from 1994 to 2000, followed by some specials between 2004 and 2007. Starring Dawn French as Reverend Geraldine Granger, along with Trevor Peacock as parish councillor Jim Trot and Emma Chambers as church verger Alice Tinker.
Fans can now get their hands on 12 different stamp designs with eight stamps depicting memorable scenes from the hit sitcom, including the guest appearance from former ballerina Dame Darcey Bussell, while the other four designs are presented on a miniature sheet, and depict a Dibley Parish Council meeting.
Royal Mail’s director of external affairs and policy, David Gold, said: “The superb writing and the warmth and idiosyncrasies of its characters made The Vicar of Dibley one of the most loved TV comedies of all time.
“We celebrate the series with new stamps revisiting some of the show’s classic moments.”
