First look at second series of popular Disney+ show Rivals

Since its release back in October 2024, Disney+ and Hulu series Rivals has become hugely popular, with bosses immediately choosing to renew the show for a second instalment. A whole year after being renewed, first look images from the hugely anticipated second series have now been released, as filming continues in the UK.
Starring the likes of David Tennant, Alex Hassell and Aidan Turner, here's all of the important details about the series two of Rivals!
When is it out?
Although there's no exact start date just yet, bosses have confirmed it will arrive in 2026. Filming is taking place in the UK as we speak.
What will happen in series two?
Disney+ say: 'Set in the stunning Cotswolds countryside and against the backdrop of the glamorous, high-stakes world of 1980s British television, the second instalment reunites the all-star cast who captivated fans and critics, while introducing some exciting new faces.

On Thursday 4th December, bosses released a selection of first look images from the second series, featuring five iconic characters. These included Lord Tony Baddingham (David Tennant), Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell), Declan O’Hara (Aidan Turner), Cameron Cook (Nafessa Williams) and Taggie O’Hara (Bella Maclean).

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (Series 4)

Hulu and Disney+ bosses confirmed in December 2025 that reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives would be returning for a fourth series! Although there's no exact start date, we do know it will arrive in early 2026.
Marvel Television's Wonder Man
Release date: 28th January 2026
Synopsis: Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.
The Artful Dodger (Series 2)
Release date: 10th February 2026
Synopsis: Jack's back! The Artful Dodger returns, and he's in deep trouble. In FX's The Beauty, the world of high fashion turns dark when international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary people into visions of physical perfection, but with terrifying consequences.
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland
Release date: 2026
Synopsis: Descendants: Wicked Wonderland explores what "happily ever after" really means for Red (Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker) following their time-traveling adventures in the 2024 hit film Descendants: The Rise of Red. Set primarily in present-day Wonderland with a host of new and familiar characters, this sequel delves into the warning at the end of the previous movie: There are consequences when you alter the fabric of time.
Daredevil: Born Again (Series 2)

Synopsis: Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an animated series that follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we have ever seen and a style that celebrates the character's early comic book roots.
All's Fair (Series 2)
Release date: Unknown
Following record-breaking viewers figures for Hulu series All's Fair, starring Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts, a second series of All's Fair has now been confirmed. Although bosses have announced production will begin in Spring 2026, there's no release date just yet, but we are hoping it will be towards the end of 2026!
FX's The Bear (Series 5)
Release date: Unknown
It was announced in July 2025 that popular FX series The Bear had been renewed for a fifth series. John Landgraf, Chairman of FX, said: "The Bear continues to be a fan favourite worldwide and their response to this season - as seen through incredibly high viewership - has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year-in and year-out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story."

Rivals (Series 2)
Release date: Unknown
Following the success of the first series in 2024, Rivals was quickly renewed for a second, with filming taking place right now! On 4th December 2025, first look images from the second series were released, as filming takes place in the UK. Although there's no exact start date, we do know the show will return in 2026.
