Applications for Race Across The World are now open

BBC entertainment show Race Across The World has become insanely popular over the last few years, with the show now having five series, as well as three celebrity specials. With series six due to air in 2026, applications for future series of the show are now open.
Due to the show's popularity, the BBC have now confirmed a seventh series of the show, despite the sixth series not scheduled to air until later this year.
How to apply?
Applications for series seven of Race Across The World opened on Monday 5th January 2026.
The application website stated: 'We are now accepting applications for the next series of Race Across the World. This experience is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned traveller or total novice. We want to hear what undertaking a trip like this would mean to you, and with a cash prize at stake, to what lengths you would go to win.
'Maybe you’re looking to change something in your life? Or are keen to share the journey with someone special like a family member, best friend, or someone you’ve lost touch with. You may even have a very personal reason for wanting to travel at this time in your life or want to explore a particular part of the world'.
Applications are due to close on 29th March 2026.
When is filming?
According to the BBC, filming will take place over an eight 8 weeks period during September –and December 2026.
If applying, your passport must be valid until at least 31st July 2027.
